Santa Fe’s own James Roybal is the only New Mexican artist invited to participate in “Bringing out the Icons – Celebrating Hispanic Art” to be held at the Mitchell Museum in Trinidad, Colorado. The show opens on May 6 and runs for six weeks. On display will include; 3 bronzes, 2 oils, and 4 pastel paintings.  Other artist asked to participate were; Lorenzo Chavez and Ramon Kelly. James was born in Santa Fe and has been showing his art here and around the country for over 40 years.

James also had 2 pastels in the International Association of Pastel Societies, Juried show in Brea California in Jan. –Mar of this year.

 In March 13 of this year James gave a painting presentation to the New Mexico Pastel Society, at the Albuquerque Museum.
